My family and I just returned from an extended weekend in Vegas! Not only did I score the hottest hotel deal using my Priceline Hotel Hack. I also discovered a couple other nifty (and affordable) experiences in the process.
First things first, let’s discuss the bomb deal I scored using my Priceline Hotel Hack. For only $100.00 a night I snagged a room at the “W Las Vegas”. This is a brand new hotel that is attached to the SLS Hotel and Casino at the North end of the strip. As a matter of fact it’s still so new that it hasn’t really “caught on” yet. The W Las Vegas is a swanky, upscale boutique hotel with AMAZING customer service (and the best beds EVER….hellloooo featherbed)! After booking through Priceline, I called the hotel to inquire about services for my husband’s upcoming birthday. The team was so accommodating that they offered a complimentary upgrade from a standard room to a suite! For those of you with a sweet tooth, they sent him complimentary cupcakes to help kick off the celebration! So for $100.00, I scored a suite at a 4.5 star hotel on the strip…and free cupcakes!!
A friend of our lives in Las Vegas and introduced us to a pizza joint called Naked City Pizza. It’s located just off the strip. He swore up and down that it was the “best pizza ever” and we couldn’t “leave Vegas without trying it”…yada yada yada. I’m a big fan of pizza so I thought, “eh, what do I have to lose?” So we pull up to Naked City Pizza and the restaurants appearance is less than impressive…which I suppose could be a good thing or a bad thing… Anyway, we ordered the “Rebel” pizza for $25.00 and twenty minutes later a gigantic pie of Italian sausage, pepperoni, ham, salami, and mozzarella cheesy deliciousness came out! I wish I would have taken a picture… I wonder if they deliver to Ohio…
The last nifty little experience I discovered in Vegas was Uber. I mean, I know what Uber is, but I had NO idea how cheap it is to use in Las Vegas. At first I bought a 3 day pass to use the Monorail ($50.00 for my husband and I). We used it for one day and then quit…I didn’t realize how far all the monorail stations are from one another. Holy cow, my poor feet….and all the other muscles in my body I didn’t know I had. After the first day, we started Ubering everywhere on the strip. Not only do they pick you up from literally anywhere you are, it only cost about $6.00 to travel around the strip! We used it for the remaining two days we were there and only spent about $30.00 …and we Ubered A LOT!
Any thoughts on W Las Vegas or Naked City Pizza? What are your experiences with Uber?
